Electronic Transactions (Contract Formation) Amendment Bill

The bill seeks to establish that, for the purpose of contract formation, an offer would be deemed to be accepted by an electronic communication at the time of receipt of the acceptance by the offeror.

Insurance (Prudential Supervision) Amendment Bill
The bill contains a number of technical amendments relating to interim financial reporting for insurers and extending the term of provisional licences of insurers that enter into an insolvency procedure before 7 September 2013. The bill also requires the Reserve Bank of New Zealand to keep a public register of licensed insurers and makes amendments to the register of registered banks currently maintained by the Reserve Bank.
