Members participating in the 18th Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA) Australian and Pacific Regional Seminar which is being held at the NZ Parliament during this week have released a motion recommending the CPA Secretariat and member nations work together to devise and implement necessary practical measures to ensure the survival, and preserve the quality of life of member nations.

“CPA countries in the region face imminent peril and it is important to draw this to the attention of those that can take some action,” motion mover Hon Dean Wells MP, from the Parliament of Queensland said. “The priority is to save lives.”
