Approved visitors list on Parliament’s website

The Speaker of the House, Dr The Rt Hon Lockwood Smith, gives approval for some visitors to have access to public areas within the parliamentary precinct without having to go through security clearance each time they visit. In the interests of transparency, a list of these approved visitors is now being made available on this website.

These visitors usually undergo an initial security clearance before they can be approved by the Speaker and given an access card. They must also agree to their name being made public.

“The benefit of being an approved visitor is that each time the person comes to Parliament he or she does not have to be security screened. Instead, an approved visitor can access specific public areas of Parliament through a security cleared entrance”, said Dr Smith.

The list of approved visitors is available from the related link on this page.
