Visit Parliament 2009 – 2010 Summer Holidays
Tours of Parliament take you through Parliament House, including the House of Representatives, the Beehive, and the Parliamentary Library. Our professional guides will explain the history and parliamentary procedures, including select committee processes. A selection of artworks from the parliamentary collection can be viewed along the tour route.
Tours take approximately one hour and start on the hour. From 27 December to 25 January extra tours start on the half-hour as demand is high. Please make sure you arrive early as tours are likely to fill quickly during this period. You will also need to proceed through security screening and deposit your bags, cell phones and cameras in our cloakroom.
We are closed on Christmas Day (25th December), Boxing Day (26th December 2009), New Year’s Day (1st January 2010) and the 2nd January.

After your tour, you can buy a memento of your visit at the Parliament Shop or you can relax and watch DVDs about different aspects of Parliament. Listen to historic speeches and view images of Parliament over the years at our audio-visual display, or chat with Tour Guides about any aspect of the tour or Parliament in general.
Restroom facilities and cold drinking water are available in the Visitor Centre which is on the ground floor of the Beehive in Molesworth Street. Maps of Wellington and information about other attractions are also available.
