Changes to the Order Paper

The House’s Order Paper has a refreshed format. The changes are designed to enhance the function of the Order Paper, which is similar to an agenda—it lists the business before the House on a sitting day. One of the helpful new features is the insertion of hyperlinks from each bill title listed on the Order Paper to the text of the bill. This will provide easier and faster electronic access to the business before the House.

The new Order Paper will also clearly indicate the business to be dealt with during an extended sitting of the House that has been agreed by the Business Committee. (The Business Committee can determine that a sitting of the House will be extended and the business to be dealt with in that extended sitting.)

The refresh of the Order Paper retains the familiar appearance of the Order Paper while making minor formatting changes to improve readability. It publishes all information currently found on the Order Paper and adds further functionality to its electronic form.
