to the Minister of Agriculture (10 Feb 2010): How many times over the past two years, in accord with legislation governing their activities, have animal welfare inspectors and auxiliary officers under warrant entered and searched any place and in the process used force to ensure the success of a legal authorised search; and how many prosecutions have resulted?
Hon
David
Carter
(Minister of Agriculture) replied: I am informed that no search warrants executed by MAF officials in the past two years have required force.
Please note that the Ministry does not hold the relevant information on accredited SPCA inspectors, only on MAF animal welfare inspectors.
