3907 (2012). Julie Anne Genter to the Minister of Transport (09 May 2012): Further to the reply to question for written answer 3129 (2012), how many buses per hour were modeled to run down each of Symonds Street, Dominion Rd, Queen St, and Albert St at peak hour in 2016 in the Ministry of Transport review of the CBD Rail Link business case?
Hon Gerry Brownlee (Minister of Transport) replied: I am advised that bus patronage rather than bus numbers was modelled for 2016 for the do minimum (no CBD Rail Link option) and do something (CBD Rail Link option) as part of the 2011 central government review of the CBD Rail Link Business Case. Bus numbers were derived from modelling plots showing patronage demand based on an average occupancy of 44 patrons per bus, consistent with other Auckland Transport modelling.
