2261 (2009). Chris Hipkins to the Minister for Social Development and Employment (26 Mar 2009): Has the Minister's Ministerial office employed or contracted any "purchase advisers"?
Hon Paula Bennett (Minister for Social Development and Employment) replied: On advice from the Minister of Finance, I have a purchase adviser to provide me with independent advice. They report and are accountable to me. The individual is contracted and paid by the Ministry of Social Development. I am advised that the person is not a public servant under the State Sector Act 1988. I have not received advice on this matter from the office of the Prime Minister. This is also my response to written parliamentary questions 2262, 2263, 2264, 2265, 2266, 2667, 2268, 2357, 2358, 2359, 2360, 2361, 2362, 2363 and 2364(2009).
