991 (2010). Keith Locke to the Minister of Agriculture (10 Feb 2010): How many times over the past two years, in accord with legislation governing their activities, have animal welfare inspectors and auxiliary officers under warrant entered and searched any place and in the process created a forensic copy of material located on a computer located in the premises; and how many prosecutions have resulted?
Hon David Carter (Minister of Agriculture) replied: I am informed that there were three occasions that MAF officials under search warrant created a forensic copy of material located on a computer in a premises. I understand that one has resulted in prosecution and the other two remain under investigation. Please note that the Ministry does not hold the relevant information on accredited SPCA inspectors, only on MAF animal welfare inspectors.
