The business statement is an informal indication of the business the Government intends to place before the House. The statement is usually delivered by the Leader of the House when the House sits on a Thursday.

Hon Gerry Brownlee made the following statement relating to the business of the House:

The House will today adjourn for a two week recess.

When the House resumes on Tuesday 17 November, it is the Government’s intention to make progress on the Ngati Apa (North Island Claims Settlement) Bill, the Whanganui Iwi (Whanganui (Kaitoke) Prison and Northern Part of Whanganui Forest) On-account Settlement Bill, the Biosecurity Amendment Bill, and other bills on the order paper.
