Personal Explanations

Estimates Debate, Vote Energy—Number of Houses to be Insulated

Hon PHIL HEATLEY (Minister of Energy and Resources) : I seek leave of the House to correct a figure that I gave about 15 minutes ago.

The ASSISTANT SPEAKER (H V Ross Robertson): Is there any objection to that course of action being taken? There is none. The Minister may proceed.

Hon PHIL HEATLEY: In my speech about 10 or 15 minutes ago I said that the number of houses we are seeking to insulate is going from 188,000 to 240,000. The increase is actually about 40,000. I should have said that the number is going from 188,000 to 230,000, not 240,000.

The ASSISTANT SPEAKER (H V Ross Robertson): Thank you, Minister.
