Requesting that the House of Representatives repeal the Environment Canterbury (Temporary Commissioners and Improved Water Management) Act since it stands in conflict with the tenet of democracy of "no taxation without representation", and request that the Government in any interim period, refrain from implementing the Act in whole or in part, including subpart 3, relating to Water Conservation Orders, and that the Government ensure that the democratic election of Environment Canterbury takes place, unimpeded, in October 2010.
