Petition of Darryl Monteith on behalf of the Gisborne Rail Action Group

Requesting that the House of Representatives note that 3,291 people have signed a petition calling for central and local government to produce a plan, with public input, to see the Gisborne-Napier railway maintained and developed for the benefit of residents, businesses and the environment locally, regionally and nationally; and the threat by government to mothball or close the line in 2012 withdrawn and reviewed again in 2020.
