Alcohol Reform Bill

The Justice and Electoral Committee is currently considering the Alcohol Reform Bill. As part of the submission process the committee has received more than 5,000 form submissions, endorsing four policy points in relation to the bill.

The committee heard from Alcohol Action New Zealand, which encouraged people to submit these form submissions, on Thursday 24 February 2011.

In order to engage with people who made form submissions and who wish to appear in support of their submissions the Justice and Electoral Committee will be holding a series of forums on the following dates, at the following locations.

People who have made form submissions and who wish to discuss the Alcohol Reform Bill with the committee are encouraged to attend.

  • Friday 11 March, 5.30pm – 7.00pm, Barry Court Hotel, 10 – 20 Gladstone Road, Parnell, Auckland
  • Monday 14 March, 5.00 – 6.00pm, Bowen House, Parliament Buildings, Wellington
  • Monday 14 March, 5.00pm – 6.00pm, Hutton Theatre, Otago Museum, 419 Great King Street, Dunedin
