Health
The committee met on 16 June to hear evidence from the Minister of Health, and the Associate Minister of Health on the 2010/11 Estimates for Vote Health. It also heard evidence on the report from the Controller and Auditor-General on Effectiveness of arrangements to check the standard of services provided by rest homes, and on its briefing from the Chief Coroner on the coronial process.
The committee will next meet on 23 June in Auckland to hear evidence on its inquiry into improving New Zealand’s environment to support innovation through clinical trial.
Justice and Electoral
