Public submissions have been called on the Free Trade Agreement between the Government of New Zealand and the Government of the People’s Republic of China.

The closing date for submissions was Wednesday, 7 May 2008.

The China free trade agreement is a treaty between New Zealand and China that liberalises and facilitates trade in goods and services, improves the business environment and promotes cooperation between the two countries in a broad range of economic areas.

The agreement and its associated documents can be viewed on the website www.chinafta.govt.nz.
