Supplementary Order Paper 152 proposes amendments to Part 1 of the Crown Minerals (Permitting and Crown Land) Bill. The purpose of the amendments is to implement recommendations in the Report of the Royal Commission of Inquiry on the Pike River Coal Mine Tragedy that seek better integration of health and safety matters in the permit allocation and management provisions of the Crown Minerals Act 1991. The committee requires 2 copies of each submission if made in writing. Those wishing to include any information of a private or personal nature in a submission should first discuss this with the clerk of the committee, as submissions are usually released to the public by the committee.
