Kenyan delegation on attachment to the New Zealand Parliament

A delegation of five senior officials from the Kenyan Parliament is on a two-week attachment to the New Zealand Parliament.

The five officers participating in the attachment are Mr. James Njoroge Mwangi, Assistant Deputy Clerk in charge of Legislative Services; Maj. (Rtd) Solomon Obange, Deputy Chief Serjeant-At-Arms; Mr Nicodemus Odongo, Budget Officer; Ms. Ndilai Resian, Hansard Reporter; and Mr. Paul Ng’etich, Senior Research Assistant.

One of the goals of the New Zealand Parliament is to enhance international parliamentary democracy and knowledge by engaging with the global parliamentary community. For this purpose, a programme has been arranged for the Kenyan delegation, with contributions from various departments of both the Office of the Clerk and the Parliamentary Service. The programme aims to provide the officers with an overview of how our Parliament works and to allow them to spend time with their counterparts.
