Hon Annette King to the Minister of Housing (10 Aug 2012): Further to his answer to Oral Question No 12 on Wednesday 1 August 2012, what are the titles and dates of the reports he has received about over a third of State houses across New Zealand in 2008 being the wrong size, in the wrong place or in poor condition?
Hon Phil Heatley (Minister of Housing) replied: I receive a variety of reports about Housing New Zealand Corporation’s need to provide more state rental properties that are of the right type, and in the right place to meet demand. One of the first reports that mentions the condition of the stock and the mis-match of size and location of state houses was the Briefing to the Incoming Minister in December 2008 when we first came into Government.
