The business statement is an informal indication of the business the Government intends to place before the House. The statement is usually delivered by the Leader of the House when the House sits on a Thursday.

The Deputy Leader of the House made the following statement relating to the business of the House:

When the House resumes next Tuesday, the Aquaculture Legislation Amendment Bill (No 3) will receive its first reading, and the Rugby World Cup 2011 (Empowering) Bill will receive its third reading.

The House will take urgency from Tuesday evening onwards to consider a range of Bills that have been recently been notified to all parties.

The Government intends to take questions each day.
