Airport Authorities (Sale to the Crown) Amendment Bill

This Bill seeks to address problems raised by the Petition 1999/231 of Ross Sutherland and 584 others, surrounding the sale of Paraparaumu Airport, by amending the Airport Authorities Act 1996 to provide mechanisms for the Crown to purchase airport land (which was initially Crown land) being sold, and to place restrictions on land use, and specify that the Ministry of Transport is the public agency responsible for enforcing the Act.
