Ngai Tāmanuhiri Claims Settlement Bill

Public submissions are being invited on this bill. The closing date for submissions is Thursday, 29 March 2012.

The bill gives effect to the deed of settlement entered into by the Crown and Ngai Tāmanuhiri on 5 March 2011 for the final settlement of the historical claims of Ngai Tāmanuhiri. Legislation is necessary to give effect to certain aspects of the settlement. Other aspects of the settlement are provided for only in the deed of settlement.
