New Standing Orders available

The Standing Orders of the House of Representatives were amended before the House was dissolved for the General Election. They are now available.

The Standing Orders are the rules for the operation of the House and its committees. The House generally reviews these each parliamentary term and makes some amendments near the end of the term, coming into force after that term has ended.

You can find out about the changes and why they were made by reading the report of the Standing Orders Committee.

The new Standing Orders are now available on the website . Printed copies will be available from Bennetts Government Bookshops within about two weeks.
