MPs’ salary and allowances

Members of Parliament are paid according to their position in Parliament as recognised by Remuneration Authority determination.

Parliamentary Salaries and Allowances Determinations

These determinations set out members’ salary and allowance entitlements. Members’ salaries are set out in Schedule 1 of the 2013 Determination. Members’ allowances are set out in Schedule 2 of the 2015 Determination. The effect of the Remuneration Authority (Members of Parliament Remuneration) Amendment Act 2015 revoked the salary provisions of the 2015 Determination.
