Youth Parliament is held every three years, providing young people with the opportunity to learn and share information about New Zealand's democracy. Youth MPs are selected by current MPs to represent them and 'do' the role of a Member of Parliament as much as possible. There is also a Youth Press Gallery.
In 2016, Youth Parliament was held on 19 and 20 July. In this area you will find details of what happened over the two days as well as information on the topics being discussed and some of the Youth MPs themselves.
