Substance Addiction (Compulsory Assessment and Treatment) Bill
Have your say on the Substance Addiction (Compulsory Assessment and Treatment) Bill. This bill will replace the Alcoholism and Drug Addiction Act 1966, and will enable people who are considered to have a severe substance addiction and do not have the capacity to participate in treatment, to receive compulsory assessment and treatment.
Submissions should be forwarded by the due date, either online here using our website (http://www.parliament.nz) or in writing to the address below. If you wish to appear before the committee, state this clearly and provide a name, daytime phone number and email address. Submissions generally become public and are published on our website.
