Trade (Anti-dumping and Countervailing Duties) Amendment Bill – call for submissions

The Commerce Committee is currently considering the Trade (Anti-dumping and
Countervailing Duties) Amendment Bill. The bill proposes a public interest test into New Zealand's anti-dumping and countervailing duties regime. The bill also proposes a provision allowing for an anti-dumping and a countervailing duty to be deferred if users of the goods have been significantly impacted by a natural disaster or other emergency. A number of other minor and technical changes are proposed as well.

The closing date for submissions is Thursday, 11 August 2016.

The bill can be viewed online at www.legislation.govt.nz.
