New Zealand Superannuation and Retirement Income (Fair Residency) Amendment Bill

Published date: 10 Jul 2020

Public submissions are now being called for New Zealand Superannuation and Retirement Income (Fair Residency) Amendment Bill

The closing date for submissions will be determined by a later date

This bill raises the minimum residency qualification for New Zealand Superannuation from 10 years to 20 years after age 20. There is no closing date set for submissions on this bill. It is likely that the committee will set a closing date when Parliament sits again after the election. That closing date may be quite soon—a week or two—after it is set by the committee.

This bill is available online from the ‘Related links’ panel.
