We have a range of Kiwi-designed virtual reality experiences that put you right at the heart of New Zealand’s Parliament, wherever in the country you are.

Parliament XR

The Parliament XR app is a virtual reality tour you can download straight to your Apple or Android device.

It is available free of charge on the App Store or Google Play. You can view it handheld on your device or for an even more immersive experience, use a cardboard VR headset.

Please view the Health & Safety guidelines for cardboard headsets in the Related Links below.

For more information on the Parliament XR app, read the article on the New Zealand Parliament website or watch the trailer below.

Virtual Debating Chamber

The Virtual Debating Chamber takes immersive VR experiences to a new level. Users will feel like they are standing on the signature green carpet of the chamber and can reach out and touch the desks and chairs.

The tour also provides commentary on points of interest, allowing you to learn more about the features of the debating chamber, including video and soundbites that tie it to the lives of New Zealanders.

Some MPs may be taking the Virtual Debating Chamber experience, complete with headsets, with them on outreach programmes in their electorates. To find out if your local MP will be taking the headsets on tour in your area, please get in touch with them.

You can find out more about the Virtual Debating Chamber in this article.
