Acknowledging the passing of former Speaker, Rt Hon Adrian Rurawhe

On Wednesday 30 September, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt Hon Gerry Brownlee acknowledged the passing of former Speaker, Rt Hon Adrian Rurawhe. He was the member for Te Tai Hauāuru from 2014 to 2023, and then a Labour List MP from 2023 to 2026. He was the 31st Speaker of the New Zealand House of Representatives from 2022 to 2023.

The Speaker released a statement sharing his deepest condolences acknowledging the Rt Hon Adrian Rurahe's contributions to the House during his time as a member of Parliament and Speaker of the House. You can read the statement here.
