Visitor Centre

Located in the ground floor of the The Beehive, our Visitor Centre welcomes visitors of all ages to learn more about our Parliament, its history, processes, and people.

Our exhibition features interactive displays and handouts in English and te reo Māori, covering topics such as:

  • A history of the parliamentary precinct
  • The key roles in our Parliament
  • How New Zealand is divided into electorates
  • A day in the life of a Member of Parliament

We also have accessible versions of some of the displays and handouts available.

The Visitor Centre is open 7 days a week 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

We are closed annually on the following public holidays: New Years' Day, 2nd January, Waitangi Day, Good Friday, Easter Monday, ANZAC Day, Christmas Day, and Boxing Day.

Free public Wi-Fi is available in the Visitor Centre. Simply select the Wi-Fi ‘Parliament Guest’. Terms and conditions of use apply.
