Visitor Centre

Our exhibition features interactive displays and handouts in English and te reo Māori, covering topics such as:
- A history of the parliamentary precinct
- The key roles in our Parliament
- How New Zealand is divided into electorates
- A day in the life of a Member of Parliament
We also have accessible versions of some of the displays and handouts available.
The Visitor Centre is open 7 days a week 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
We are closed annually on the following public holidays: New Years' Day, 2nd January, Waitangi Day, Good Friday, Easter Monday, ANZAC Day, Christmas Day, and Boxing Day.
Free public Wi-Fi is available in the Visitor Centre. Simply select the Wi-Fi ‘Parliament Guest’. Terms and conditions of use apply.
Parliament Shop
The New Zealand Parliament shop offers a range of exclusive gifts and souvenirs, inspired by our Parliament.
Located next the Visitor Centre in the Beehive, the shop is open to all visitors. Celebrate the unique elements of New Zealand’s democracy with the iconic biscuit tin mug, coasters featuring Parliament’s symbolic floors, or silk scarves printed with the Parliamentary Library’s stained-glass windows.
