The business statement is an informal indication of the business the Government intends to place before the House. The statement is usually delivered by the Leader of the House when the House sits on a Thursday.

Hon Christopher Finlayson, Acting Leader of the House, made the following statement relating to the business of the House:

When the House resumes on Tuesday 9 August, the Government intends to complete the Committee stage of the Appropriation (2011/12 Estimates) Bill, before proceeding to the third reading. The Government also intends to make further progress on the Electoral (Administration) Amendment Bill (No 2).
