How to use the Parliament website calendar

Published date: 15 Apr 2016

The parliamentary calendar is a new feature on the Parliament website with today’s events featured on the homepage. The calendar icon in the header on every webpage is a link to the full calendar.

Daily, weekly and monthly views

Select the ‘Calendar’ link in the header or the ‘View full calendar link’ below the homepage calendar to take you to the daily, weekly and monthly views of the Parliament calendar.

Day and week view

Select a day or week within the calendar to view all events. Use the filter (located on the right hand side in the full calendar and below the calendar on the homepage) to choose only those event types you're interested in - whether it's House sittings (meetings of Parliament) or special events such as the art tours of Parliament.

Adding Parliament’s events to your calendar

You can also add events to your personal calendar by selecting the ‘Add to calendar’ or ‘Export Calendar’ link option. Choose an individual event or set the dates for the events you want to export.

You can add this year's sitting dates by filtering for House Business events, selecting the desired date range and choosing ‘Export’.  This will add these events to a calendar.

Past days

Previous sitting days do not list previous events, but instead have links to relevant information and  official records of business (Hansard, Oral and Written questions) and related content for that date such as on-demand video.
